IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.
Acceleware celebrates all women in the workforce, and within the oil and gas industry; working together to accelerate the energy transition for a clean and prosperous energy future. Today, we are highlighting the women of Acceleware, who are passionate, driven, and enormous assets to our vision of being the global leader in decarbonizing industrial heating through our CTI technology.
As Director of Subsurface Engineering for Acceleware, I can apply the experience of 25 years of thermal subsurface development to support the development of Acceleware’s clean technology execution at the Marwayne pilot. Passionate about nature, through travel or at my garden at home and looking at the future of my children, I am proud to be a part of a technology that will help meet energy needs while reducing the environmental footprint. Allison Aherne
In my role on the board of directors at Acceleware, I am excited to bring my technical and business perspectives to governance, with a view to accelerating the commercialization of our clean technologies. I’m passionate about navigating challenging terrain and creating successful outcomes both on and off my mountain bike. There is no such thing as a bad day on the bike or in the board room. Caralyn Bennett
Even after 20+years of experience in business and financial roles and now in my role as CFO at Acceleware, I strive to be brave enough to call out discrimination when it’s observed so that we can all become more aware of the unconscious or deliberate bias that continues to exist. -“Knowing is not enough, we need action.” #breakthebias #iwd2022 Tracy Grierson
As the Marketing Manager, I get to be the communication between Acceleware and our investors, partners, and the public. I love being part of a company that is creating game-changing technologies to help accelerate the world’s clean energy future. I am passionate about health and fitness and enjoy spending my free time exploring Alberta with my adopted fur-babies or on the golf course. Shannon Kadoski
My role at Acceleware is to lead the planning, construction, execution, and operation of our first RF XL commercial scale pilot. My family, friends and local community give me life outside of the workplace. I love being part of a vibrant, hardworking industry, committed to bringing the world the cleanest and most socially responsible energy.

I have been with Acceleware from day one. I work in research and development of electromagnetic algorithms and research codes that later are taken over by the software team and implemented in our software solutions. My favorite thing to do is walking long distance, hiking, swimming, kayaking, biking, and skiing. Ewa Okoniewska
I love working with a company striving to make massive contributions to the clean energy transition. My role as VP, Strategic Initiatives involves positioning, strategizing, branding, and funding work to further our decarbonization goals. I tend to throw my all into everything I do, be it work relationships, funding initiatives, ripping down a ski slope or enjoying the quiet beauty of a cross country ski day. I absolutely love being active and outdoors, traveling whenever I can, and being a mom and a stepmom to our six, (yes six!) kids, two retrievers and two cats.

I have worked at Acceleware for 14 years, and over that time I have been the owner of a few departments. I am currently the accounting manager for day-to-day operations, as well as HR representative for all staff and contractors. When I am off work, I love spending time with my 2 daughters and keeping active within their gymnastics organization.
