SEG, San Antonio, Texas – September 20, 2011 – Acceleware Ltd. (TSX-V: AXE), today announced that the newest version of the AxRTM™ software library is on display at the Acceleware booth (booth #3600 of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Centre) during the 81st annual SEG conference. This version of AxRTM incorporates Acceleware’s latest R & D features to economically deliver the most accurate seismic images through highly-optimized computing performance.

The intensive compute, memory and storage demands of running a full TTI (Tilted Transverse Isotropy) RTM process to image steeply dipping reflectors and accurately model complex wave phenomena requires access to advanced computing technologies. AxRTM enables the computing horsepower and optimized geophysics to dramatically improve the fundamental compromise between image quality and lengthy processing run times on large clusters.
“TTI RTM brings the advanced imaging capabilities required to deliver high quality images in complex geologies – especially in deep water sub-salt reservoirs – however, the cost being one of the most computationally expensive seismic imaging methods in the industry today,” said Darren Foltinek, Seismic Imaging Product Manager at Acceleware. “AxRTM dramatically improves the economics of TTI RTM by combining industry validated geophysics with Acceleware’s extensive high performance computing techniques and expertise, making it accessible to a broad range of seismic exploration professionals.”

AxRTM seamlessly supports the implementation of heterogeneous computing that includes clusters of CPUs and/or advanced GPUs interchangeably. Existing customers of AxRTM can benefit today, from these advances with a simple software update.

Also available at the Acceleware booth is information about the HPC consulting services the company provides. Training services for programmers looking to upgrade their skills on multi- core programming specific to the GPU are featured, with specific course information for CUDA training and OpenCL training on hand.
