CALGARY, Alberta – May 18, 2010 – Acceleware® Corp. (TSX-V: AXE) a leading developer of high performance computing applications, today announced that Microsoft Corporation has partnered with Acceleware to provide training opportunities for GPU programmers using CUDA™ and OpenCL that adds detailed instruction on Microsoft’s HPC Server 2008 cluster operating system. This new training offering targets developers planning to deploy applications on GPUs and HPC Server to write software for the Windows operating system that run on both workstations and cluster environments seamlessly.

“Acceleware is pleased to be working with Microsoft to deliver this unique training offering by including HPC Server 2008 instruction along with CUDA and OpenCL,” said Robert Miller, Vice-President of Marketing and Product Management of Acceleware Corp. “Organisations that choose this path will clearly benefit from a homogeneous environment for their applications and HPC environments.”

Acceleware’s existing CUDA training program consists of lectures and hand on exercises in both two and five day formats designed to provide the students with the necessary tools to make their HPC projects a success.

“We are excited that Acceleware has added HPC Server material to their training courses. Customers have already benefited from the tight integration of NVIDIA’s Parallel Nsight and Microsoft’s Visual Studio developer environments. Now they will also learn how easy it is to deploy GPGPU applications on Windows clusters,” said David Rich, Director Technical Computing, Microsoft Corporation.

Acceleware delivers solutions that process computer-based simulations and data intensive applications up to 50 times faster than premium workstations or clusters. Applications enabled by Acceleware leverage the massive parallel computing capabilities available in GPUs and multi-core CPU environments to dramatically speed-up processing. In addition to their existing CUDA course syllabus, Acceleware is now offering OpenCL training content to provide students with well rounded GPU programming experience.

Acceleware’s upcoming five day CUDA/Open CL training classes in association with Microsoft will take place:

July 26-30, 2010 in Cambridge, Massachusetts:
August 2-6, 2010 in New York City:
