A few years back, our now 20-something year old kids expressed a lack of hope for the planet. We were sitting around the dinner table, and my then 16 year old daughter responded to a discussion about yet another climate change disaster with, “...what’s the point of worrying about it anyway – the world is just going to blow up in the next fifty years.”

We were sitting around the dinner table, and my then 16 year old daughter responded to a discussion about yet another climate change disaster with, “...what’s the point of worrying about it anyway – the world is just going to blow up in the next fifty years.”

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
