They have confirmed new dates for the exhibition and conference, which will now be June 8 – 10, 2021 in Calgary, Canada. The Global Energy Show will introduce conference and exhibition content in a digital format starting this April. Global policymakers, industry innovators and energy CEOs will host discussions on topics which include energy investment in the post pandemic world, long-term sustainable energy solutions and building resilience in technology, innovation and partnerships. We are currently working with the event organizers to digitally present our technical paper, which was scheduled on June 11, 2020. Register for updates and follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn for confirmation on when this presentation will become available. Stay home, and stay safe!  ** COVID-19 Announcement ** March 23, 2020 Over the last month we have all experienced a flood of information and news concerning the spread of COVID-19. At Acceleware, we are taking this situation very seriously and are monitoring the outbreak and advice from WHO, public health authorities, regional, and local governments. At this moment, GES2020 is still scheduled for the original dates. As time goes on, and more information from the event organizers become available, we will make the decision to if we will be attending and presenting.   The Global Energy Show (previously the Global Petroleum Show) is the most important energy expo and conference in North America attracting more than 50,000 international and domestic oil and gas executives from over 21,000 companies. Officials from government, national and international energy companies across the entire supply chain convene at the show to share innovative technologies, conduct business and engage in complex and controversial discussions aimed to shape the future of the energy industry. Acceleware will have a technical presentation in the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) category, titled ' Zero GHG Production Of Oil Sands Reservoirs Using RF Heating '.  This presentation will cover the economic and operational realities of producing a zero-GHG barrel of heavy oil or oil sands by applying renewable sources of energy to power a RF heating system. Radio frequency (RF) energy has been considered for downhole heating as early as the 1940’s. Recent developments in this technology have generated new interest due to its economic and environmental benefits and for its ability to produce a wide range of reservoirs including many that to date have not been considered commercially viable. The technology operates by delivering controlled electromagnetic energy (EM) directly into an oil-bearing formation. The electromagnetic energy raises the temperature of existing water in the formation, enabling production. We invite you to join us for this informative presentation on  Thursday, June 11 at 8:30am - yes, it's early, but we promise it will be well worth it! With increasing pressure on the industry to improve ESG performance, RF heating offers a path to zero emissions where it can rely on entirely renewable sources of power in addition to eliminating the use of fresh water . While the cost of such renewable sources has prevented it’s use on commercial scale, advances in RF heating technologies and in renewable power generation are making this concept a viable alternative for the near future. Presenter:  MIKE TOURIGNY VP Commercialization, RF Heating Mike is an accomplished executive with over 25 years of international experience building high-growth, disruptive and innovative businesses in the energy, utilities, telecommunications and technology sectors. Mike started his career in the oil and gas industry before pivoting to technology, where he worked on the development and deployment of several diverse and ground-breaking technologies. In 2013, he joined Acceleware after being attracted by the vast potential of its radio frequency (RF) heating systems for oil sands and heavy oil production. Mike’s unique aptitude for navigating the barriers associated with business growth coupled with a respect for both the energy industry and its political realities, makes him well-suited to spearhead the process of commercializing Acceleware’s RF heating technology.  He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of British Columbia.
