Dr. Michal Okoniewski - Chief Scientist, Co-Founder & interim CEO
Chief Scientist from the time of Acceleware's inception and Interim President and CEO since Summer 2008, Michal is a renowned expert in applied computational electrodynamics, high performance computing, microelectronics and micro-machining, as well as in biomedical engineering with close to 30 years experience and over two hundreds technical publications. Dr. Okoniewski has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University, Gdansk and is a Fellow of IEEE.
Ryan Schneider - CTO & Co-Founder
Industry and academia have recognized Ryan Schneider for his innovative work in the acceleration of scientific computing applications. He has earned numerous elite national scholarships and awards, including the Engineering Internship Prize from the University of Calgary and the Alberta Science and Technology Leader of Tomorrow Award. Prior to establishing Acceleware, Schneider was co-founder and president of Vortex Computing Inc., a high-performance-computing (HPC) consulting company and value-added reseller. Ryan has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Robert Miller - VP, Marketing & Product Management
Rob has 20 years of technology business experience in founder, operations, marketing, product management and general manager roles and was most recently the vice president of marketing for the XMetaL division of Blast Radius that was acquired by Justsystems of Tokyo in 2006. Prior to Blast Radius, Mr. Miller was the general manager of Verity Canada and part of the Verity executive team. During his later years at Verity, he also assumed corporate marketing responsibilities for Verity Inc. based in Sunnyvale, California. Mr. Miller has held several other senior marketing and product management positions in high tech companies including FTP Software of Andover, Massachusetts. He initiated his business career as the third employee of Image Club, which was eventually acquired by Adobe Systems. Rob has a B.A. from the University of Victoria, British Columbia.
Geoff Clark - CFO
Geoff Clark has extensive experience in financial, technical and general management roles in several public and private technology companies, most recently with SQFive Intelligent Oilfield Solutions Ltd. a private oil and gas technology and services company. Before joining SQFive, Geoff was CFO of TSX listed Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Ltd. While with Guest-Tek, Geoff was instrumental in completing two major acquisitions, a share buyback, and several private placements of debt and equity. Prior to joining Guest-Tek, Geoff was CFO of Pan Terra Industries, a TSX Venture listed company. Geoff figured prominently in Pan Terra’s CBO (change of business) transaction from a junior oil and gas to environmental services organization. Prior to Pan Terra, Geoff was a co-founder of Revolve Magnetic Bearings Inc. a supplier of magnetic levitation systems. Geoff held a variety of position with Revolve including CFO and V.P. Marketing. Geoff secured several rounds of financing for Revolve and was instrumental in Revolve’s eventual sale to SKF, the Swedish bearing manufacturer. Geoff holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
