Kirchhoff Time Migration Solvers

Kirchhoff Pre-Stack Time Migration is the most popular migration method in the seismic data processing industry because of its simplicity, efficiency, and feasibility. However processing time can consume weeks or months of compute time. Acceleware's AxKTM library has been specifically designed to maximize the speed of KPSTM, without introducing mathematical approximations.

KTM Features:

  • 2D or 3D data may be migrated
  • Handles poststack or prestack data
  • Optional anti-alias filtering
  • Optional migration from topography
  • Migration to select output locations
  • Can produce a stack or common offset gathers on output
  • Can perform multiple migrations at various percentages of the input velocity field; Percentage stacks are output for velocity analysis
  • Capable of parallel execution, optionally using a network distribution across multiple architectures
  • Can migrate from datum using 4'th order (curved ray) moveout; This allows long offset shallow data to image better
  • Can migrate from datum using an anisotropic moveout correction
  • Can migrate to an arbitrary cdp grid, which allows for simplified rebinning
  • Restart capabilities allow for protection against hardware failures and power outages

Acceleware's AxKTM for SUMMIG product uses the highly parallel computing power of NVIDIA GPUs to accelerate the complete feature set of Techco SUMMIG by approximately 10x, resulting in much faster turn-around times for this fundamental seismic process.  AxKTM and SUMMIG and Techco SUMMIG work seamlessly together, delivering maximum flexibility in a hardware environment consisting of a mixture of CPU and GPU compute nodes.
