Bohdan Romaniuk - Chairman of the Board - President & CEO of Ceres Capital Corp.
Bohdan Romaniuk is a lawyer, economist and business executive, having held a number of senior executive positions in both very large and smaller enterprises over a business career spanning more than 25 years. Mr. Romaniuk is President and CEO of Ceres Capital Corp., a TSXV-listed capital pool corporation, and for the past seven years has served as Chairman of the Board and Audit Committee of Cell-Loc Location Technologies Inc., a TSXV-listed corporation engaged in the development and provision of wireless location services in Canada and South America. From 1996 to 2005, he served on the Board of Directors of the International Telecommunications Society and currently holds the position of Secretariat. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of a national charitable foundation. Mr. Romaniuk has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1988 and the Canadian Economics Association since 1977.
Dennis Nerland - Partner of Shea Nerland Calnan
Mr. Nerland has been a partner with the law firm Shea Nerland Calnan since 1990 practicing primarily in the areas of tax and trust law. Mr. Nerland is a current and past director of a number of private and public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange and is currently a trustee of a number of significant private investment trusts. Mr. Nerland has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary, a Master of Arts degree (Economics) from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Science degree (Economics and Mathematics) from the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
Dr. Peter Neweduk - Physician
Dr. Neweduk is a medical doctor and has served in a number of positions in the Calgary Health Region including the executive of the Calgary Regional Medical Staff Association. He has been an executive member of the Calgary Medical Society and is currently an executive member of Medical Mercy Canada, a charity. Dr. Neweduk is also the president of Davanat Holdings Ltd. and Strathridge Apartments Inc. These private companies focus on real estate holdings and redevelopment. Dr. Neweduk is also a founder, director and audit committee member of Ceres Capital Corporation, a TSXV-listed company.
Jens Horstmann - VP and CTO of DVDPlay Inc.
Mr. Horstmann has served as Vice President and CTO of DVDPlay, Inc. (of Campbell, California) since April of 2006 and previous to that he was its President and CEO for four years. Mr. Horstmann advises several start-up ventures and manages MXGO, an intellectual property management company. Prior to joining DVDPlay he was President and CEO of Open Grid, Inc. Jens’ nearly 25 years of executive and technical experience includes senior engineering, and research and development positions at Sun Microsystems, Siemens, LSI Logic Systems Research Laboratory, and X1 Corporation. He also holds several patents. Jens lives with his family in Silicon Valley and is an avid pilot and photographer. Along with his new position on Acceleware’s Board of Directors, Mr. Horstmann also serves as Chairman of Kachingle Inc., a micro payment provider for newspaper and social networking sites.
Geoff Clark - Chief Executive Officer
Geoff Clark has extensive experience in financial, technical and general management roles in several public and private technology companies, most recently with SQFive Intelligent Oilfield Solutions Ltd. a private oil and gas technology and services company. Before joining SQFive, Geoff was CFO of TSX listed Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Ltd. While with Guest-Tek, Geoff was instrumental in completing two major acquisitions, a share buyback, and several private placements of debt and equity. Prior to joining Guest-Tek, Geoff was CFO of Pan Terra Industries, a TSX Venture listed company. Geoff figured prominently in Pan Terra’s CBO (change of business) transaction from a junior oil and gas to environmental services organization. Prior to Pan Terra, Geoff was a co-founder of Revolve Magnetic Bearings Inc. a supplier of magnetic levitation systems. Geoff held a variety of position with Revolve including CFO and V.P. Marketing. Geoff secured several rounds of financing for Revolve and was instrumental in Revolve’s eventual sale to SKF, the Swedish bearing manufacturer. Geoff holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Dr. Michal Okoniewski - Chief Scientific Officer, Co-Founder
Chief Scientist from the time of Acceleware's inception and Interim President and CEO since Summer 2008, Michal is a renowned expert in applied computational electrodynamics, high performance computing, microelectronics and micro-machining, as well as in biomedical engineering with close to 30 years experience and over two hundreds technical publications. Dr. Okoniewski has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University, Gdansk and is a Fellow of IEEE.
